APC vows to take out PDP in Gombe

A serving senator, Gombe central senatorial district and former governor of the state, Alh. Muhammad Danjuma Goje, along with the state All Progressive Congress, APC, caucus are gathered at the Gombe International Hotel for the inauguration of the new leadership.

In a phonecall interview, Muhammad Adamu Yayari, an APC supporter, told this correspondent that the event was attended by a number of delegates, members of the federal and state assembly, gubernatorial aspirants, among various other dignitaries.

The newly elected executives include Nitte A. Amangal who's the chairman, with ASP Ado Gabanni Rtd, Rose Danjuma, Alhaji Kawu Lero and Barr. Rotimi William as Deputy chairman, women leader, youth leader and legal adviser, respectively.

It could be recalled that, during the 2015 general elections, Gombe state has been among the few northern states where the People Democratic Party prevailed in winning the governorship seat as well as clinching all the 11 local governments during the chairmanship election in February last year; a development that worries opposition.

'This time around, we vow to change the government, even the last time, we experienced anti-party issues among ourselves, we have not realised it until it's late, but masses are the voters, and we are with the masses', M. A. Yayari explained.
