The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), has expressed it readiness to synergised with the media to uplift the living standard of women and children in the North East.
'Miss Kusali Nellie Kubwalo, The UNICEF's Communications Specialist and External Relation Maiduguri field office, gave the assurance while interacting with journalist representing various mediums in Maiduguri.
'Kubwalo said she was Unicef’s Communications Officer for Malawi, before coming to Borno state, northeast Nigeria as the New UNICEF’s Communication Specialist adding that she will be based in Maiduguri.
'The purpose of this meeting is to introduce myself and enabled us get to know each other. And to synergised with you to enabled us meet UNICEF's desired goal.
'My doors are always open when ever you have ever anything to ask me, or clarify, I will always be there to provide you with the answers at my disposal. I will also personally meet some of you to brain storm about certain issue you may find interested,"said Kubwalo.
UNICEF aims to accelerate the realisation of the right of all children and women to survival development, protection and participation. It promote efforts to reduce infant, child and maternal mortality; expand access to quality basic education; and strengthen social and child protection systems.
